Nampa

We are thoroughly enjoying our family vacation in Nampa. Before you give me a bad time about our vacation location, you must know that it has been in the mid-90's since we've arrived...a delightful desert dry heat that warms me all the way to my soul. And it makes me incredibly happy.

So does spending time with my family and friends. I delivered an antique wheelchair to a couple here in Nampa for my friend Luanne. What a joy it was to meet Tina and Bert! I have two new friends in my life and will look forward to visiting them when we come to Nampa again! We have also enjoyed spending time with Andrew. The first time I met him I got to play a nalgene bottle (with a wooden spoon) at his house and eat pizza at the Pie Hole. This time we've floated the Boise River together, hiked Jump Creek (well, kind of...he was very gracious about my phobias), and ate out alot. And he made me a great latte @ Starbucks. We will spend more time with friends tomorrow when we fix a big dinner at the Brick House. How fun it will be to hang out with some of Jenna's friends as they are all returning to school this weekend.

And speaking of Jenna, we love being here with her. Kudos to Johnny for giving her a couple days off to spend with her family. We are having a wonderful time together! She loves her new car and new bike.

I will be sad to leave my bike with her. I have a new fancy one at home that Roy promises I will like better. I have become quite attached to this bike, though, and will miss it. I hope she has as much fun riding it as I have this summer!

We have 2 1/2 days left in Nampa. I want to enjoy every minute. And I will.
